Peter Nunley’s lifelong interest in finance and operations management has been a consistent thread throughout his career. Each role he has undertaken, from business analysis to asset management, has deepened his expertise in evaluating investments, understanding market dynamics, and designing strategic financial models. Peter’s academic achievements include a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Operations Management, graduating summa cum laude from the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. He further honed his skills and strategic understanding by earning a Master of Business Administration from the University of Florida’s Hough Graduate School of Business.

Peter’s professional journey includes significant roles at leading financial institutions like Citigroup and Goldman Sachs, where he focused on business analysis and operations in investment banking. These experiences equipped him with a profound understanding of global financial operations and high-stakes investment strategies.

Since joining Independent Financial Partners in 2013 as the Director of Asset Management, Peter has been pivotal in overseeing the firm’s model portfolio offerings. He leads the due diligence process for diverse investment products, offers portfolio construction guidance to advisors, serves on the investment advisory committee, and conducts extensive research on economic trends and investment tactics.

As a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder, Peter is not only recognized for his analytical acumen but is also a valued member of the CFA Society of Tampa Bay. In his current role, he combines his analytical skills with a strategic vision, playing a crucial role in shaping investment strategies that align with both market opportunities and client needs. His work ensures that the financial advice provided is both sophisticated and deeply attuned to the evolving economic landscape.
